introduces our newest editor, Lorena Smith.

Pre-Introduction:

I met Lorena recently (she's an awesome person!) and she understands what Humdinger Literary E-zine's about--what's more, she wants to be part of it. We at Humdinger do what we do because we love writing and writers and are willing to take the time to help each writer achieve his/her goals. What's most exciting is that Lorena's assistance will help us take Humdinger Literary E-zine to print by late summer and compile our Best of Humdinger anthology by early fall! Enjoy Lorena's amazing bio below...

 Lorena

My life is ridiculous when it’s not explained properly but that really would necessitate the writing of a book so I’ll give you the Cliff Notes version:

My mom is Swedish, my dad is Sri Lankan. I grew up in the jungles of Sri Lanka where they ran an orphanage and a hospital. My childhood was blissful. Barefeet, lots of kids, jungle everywhere and a monkey named Abraham for a pet.

Fast forward lots of years. Do you see boarding school in India, civil war in Sri Lanka, high school in Sweden and lots of awful 80’s music flashing by you as I fast forward? You should!

Now I live in Texas (yeah I KNOW!) via California (where I met the love of my life who–bless him–puts up with me), Romania, Sweden, UK and Connecticut.

I write to keep sane, can you blame me?

I have two wonderful children. Alexandra is my special joy and JJ is my special gift from God. We heard several years ago that he is autistic and our journey with him has been challenging and mind boggling and frustrating but always truly blessed.

So this is me. Mixed up, moved around, shaken and stirred.

Enjoy!

Writing is pretty crummy on the nerves.
